Sustenance Logo Development - Choosing a font
This is my current Sustenance logo - struggling to decide on a typeface. These are my top 6.
After printing out the 30mm and 10mm logos I ruled out a few options as they were impossible to read at that size. These are my top 2 possibilities. Still unsure on which style I like best. The first option was what I envisaged in my original idea, but but I like the way the second one has a seriffed T.
Sustenance logo concepts
This shows my original ideas and concept sketches. They fell into three main 'themes' - Bite Mark, Leaf and Fruit Symbol.
After class critique and discussion I decided to develop my first idea (circular logo with bite mark, simple sans serif font in lower case). It is simple and eye-catching and it abstractly represents the brand. It isn't as literal as some of the others, and this allows for slight freedom in case they ever decide to slightly change what products they produce. Yet it still portrays food and a young target market. With proper colour choice it will also portray freshness. I may run into difficulties with readability of the text at very small sizes, so will have to take this into consideration when choosing a typeface.
